I just got the news that I am one of the finalists for the YouTube Symphony Orchestra - The world's first collaborative on-line orchestra and which members will be selected by a jury and the general public. The winners will give a concert at Carnegie Hall, under the direction of Michael Tilson Thomas.I auditioned with the bass clarinet, and one of the pieces asked by the jury was the Adagio from Mozart's clarinet concerto. My video is now selected as a finalist and people can vote for it...if they like it!
I decided to take part of this project, because I believe this is just a great idea - not only to promote symphonic music but NEW music, in this case, by renown composer Tan Dun.
