Next concert of Kinsa Trio

I started making arrangements of Peruvian music years ago for Thelema Trio, but recently I decided to create "Kinsa" to fully dedicate to the performance of this wonderful Peruvian music written before 1950.

Recently, cellist Wouter Vercruysse has joined Kinsa trio - a very talented musician. Together, we are preparing the recording of our first full CD.

Our next concert will take place in Ghent, 24 February at the popular Hot Club de Gand - a great place in the centrum of town. In this concert, we will include all the pieces feaured in YouTube, - such as "El Cóndor pasa" and "La pampa y la puna", plus other works that I have prepared for the released of our upcoming CD: "Tres Estampas de Arequipa", "Melgar", "Marinera y Tondero", just to mention a few.

If you are in Ghent, you are welcome to join us - the entrance is free.

Marco Mazzini at the Rode Pomp

Next Thursday 22nd January I will be part of Het Rode Pomp Ensemble, performing a great piece by composer Logzi Lebic, scored for clarinet and piano.

This 13 minutes piece called "Invocation", asks for almost everything on the clarinet: from fast staccatos, to wind sounds and slap tongue. Pianist Ward De Vleeschhouwer will join me in this concert.

The concert will take place at the Concertzaal Parnassus: Oude Houtlei 124 Gent, at 20u.
