The concert with the YouTube Symphony Orchestra has been news all over the world - this great idea from YouTube finally came true to 96 musicians from 33 countries. We gave an almost 3 hour concert at the world famous Carnegie Hall.

Personally, this was an amazing experience. The organization was simply perfect, nothing went wrong and we all felt very well treated by the YouTube and Google team.

The full concert of the YTSO can be watched already in YouTube, here is the first part and here the second one. I have collected most of the videos where I took part of - including my interview with the BBC London. You can watch them all in this playlist. Don't miss my impro session at Le Poisson Rouge with DJ Mason Bates.

Update: I'm building up this page dedicated to my experience in New York, don't miss it!

Next Wednesday 8th April I will give the world premiere of Rafael Junchaya's "Concerto Silvestre" for bass clarinet and orchestra, the first concerto ever written for bass clarinet by a Peruvian composer.

This piece will be heard for the first time in Valladolid, at the Teatro del Centro Cívico Municipal de Boecillo at 20.00. The entrance is free. This same work will be then repeated the 7th and 8th May at the Bijloke Concert Hall in Gent, Belgium. In both occasions, I perform together with the Gent University Symphony Orchestra and their conductor Steven Decraene.

In the video above you can hear parts of the Concerto Silvestre's first rehearsal and a little explanation about this new piece - with English subtitles.

I do enjoy playing new music, anything that challenges me musically. Most of my videos in YouTube are dedicated to promote new compositions for clarinet, bass clarinet and contrabass clarinet. But in one of my next concerts I will perform a piece wirtten in 1811.

Next 25 of April I will play at the Stadshallen Brugge the romantic Clarinet Concerto N°1 in F minor by Carl Maria Von Weber, together with the Artis Dulcedo Orchesta (Brugge, Belgium) and their enthusiastic conductor Steven Decraene. This concert will be repeated the 9th May in Sint-Gilliskerk Brugge. The program includes also works by Bach and Beethoven.

All the details or these concerts can be found here, and you can always check my next concerts in my agenda. Hope to see you then!
